Other ways to Help

There are many ways to raise money.

SANTIAGO de COMPOSTELA - WALK BY DENISE LEPORE

‘El Camino’ - The Pilgrimage Route to Santiago de Compostela became popular in the Middle Ages. I completed the walk in the spirit of Medieval Spain, which was an interesting mixture of Muslims, Christians and Jews who lived and worked together amicably. In this spirit I also decided to raise both money and awareness of Sandema Educational Resource Centre, because of the wonderful work it does and Sandema's interesting mixture of people i.e., Muslims, Christians and Traditionalists.

TO RAISE FUNDS, PATRICK HEINECKE CLIMBED THE HIGHEST MOUNTAIN IN GHANA, DESPITE ATTEMPTS TO STOP HIM.

‘Don’t do it, Patrick, it’s dangerous. Don’t do it!’
‘Don’t worry. I’ll be all right.’
‘Do not risk your life! Do not go!’
‘I’m not a small boy. I know what I’m doing . . . ‘
‘That’s exactly your problem: you’re not a boy any more. You’re nearly seventy years old. You haven’t climbed a mountain since you were a teenager.’
‘I know I can do it . . . ‘
And I did it. A total of £4000 was raised by my sponsors.

How about a parachute jump, a raffle, a jumble sale, a musical event, a party/wedding reception where guests donate to the charity instead of bringing gifts?
